Hello. I was working on 1/700 scale contour drawings to approximate cv-43 as seen in final fit, near retirement. As point of reference, I am using the italeri 1/720 kitty hawk kit as a guide (its actually a pretty close correlation, aside from the obvious differences, and dimensions).
Just using online photos, line drawings, I have cobbled together most of the scale lines approximated to account for cutting parts, but I am am having some trouble with getting the geometry to line up in two areas:
1. the area underside the port sponson that houses the guts of catapult #3 -- those shell contours are tricky (I guess I need a photo looking "up");
2. the area under the tower -- particularly where the catwalks run over the stbd boarding ladders, and the hangar "wall" housing the large uptakes.
Any help appreciated.

You may wish to ask in the CASF Midway class thread as well: viewtopic.php?f=46&t=28689

That thread is where I got the inspiration from.
I have started cutting plastic, will muddle through it as I got. I got the keel/stem/stern, flight deck, and hanger roof cut out so far.
Gonna cut 12 major +12 minor transverse bulkheads to build "up" the the flat hull bottom, then add the outer shell around the edges to box it all in.
