Very nice Admiral! I really like the extra long forecastle of the Bryony, somehow this makes the Flowers look really seaworthy. By the way, that's the 1/48 model, isn't it?

Thanks for sharing! :thumbs_up_1:

You have a really large dining room table...

That's quite a handful to launch, I could imagine - do you use a trailer or something like that to get it to the pond?

Just my little van, and a good truss, :lol_3: No she is quite easy to launch, as you know with my models everything comes off, the whole superstructure comes off, leaving the hull, all weights and batteries are put in and the top put on, and off she sails, :jump_1: :jump_1: :thumbs_up_1:

Next time you sail her be sure to have someone take some pics - I'd love to see her in her element. :thumbs_up_1:

It is very hard to sail and take photo,s, scoucegit told me he had took loads when we sailed at Ellesmere Port Show this year, but is not able to post them because of a problem with his computer, :lol_3: :lol_3: but he did sell them to a guy at a mag for publishing. ARH

Thanks for the kind words about the Flower Class website Ron :thumbs_up_1:

As Rons weblink just takes you to one section of the Flower Class and WWII Royal Navy Forums website here is the link which will take you to the homepage http://p214.ezboard.com/btheflowerclasscorvetteforums

We hold the largest online archive of Flower Class Corvette and Castle Class Corvette photographs as well as a few images of other WWII Royal Navy ships. The site is fairly active with 600+ visitors per day, but most of them are too shy to post or just happy to take the info. We have a modelling section specifically set up for the Flower Class and would welcome further contributions by modellers.

Hope to meet some of you on the forums.

The rust weathering on the hull is very realistic-looking - great work. (How did you do it - with an oil wash?)

Yes I did it with oil washes and just paining the oils right out of the tube on the hull and I left it to dry over night then I did the other side and the day after that I put a moderately heavy coat of mate finish to seal up the paints :thumbs_up_1: thx EPinniger

P.S. thats real smoke :jump_1:

I don't have rudder access because I needed the back deck to be totally water tight cuz I was going to have in some rough seas.

O and bill I still have to make the main deck water tights and I need to figure out how to hold it down (I like the screw idea)

And my good friend Tom Hand was navigation officer on Clematis before he took command of HMS BRYONY.
