Hyper scale at Elesmere Port boat Museum

This week end sees one of the largest gatherings of large scale models at Ellesmere Port Boat Museum. Not just for display but to put these amazing models through their paces by skilled skippers that really do know what they are doing many come from the industry that operates many of these ships , tug men , pilots and skippers in real life . This is probably the only venue in the world where full size tankers, bulkers, gas carriers sail only a few meters from the museum complex. A wonderful place to sail and display a model ship .












For many years the Museum has also been the venue for operating large scale models at night

There is also a large vendor area and displays and competition for what would be considered "smaller models"
