The work continuous on the diffuser of the chimney



The left part is the Trumpy (false )



the diffuser is in fact composed of six independent diffusers, each is composed of a kind of at four blades shutters, the simultaneous opening of four blades, is actuated by a rod assembly (in stretched black on my piece)
for a port configuration (in stop) apparently one diffuser, rest open (group allowing a power electric) if the object of my dio Richelieu was at sea and in working order, the six diffusers must beings opened .I also redid the external piping on the chimney



And those on the sides



I think I'm going partition off the outputs, injected of the resin, and mold the all!!!
I also did the gateways on sides of rangefinder bloc

Hello folks

I had promised Christian Brauer, the mounting steps for the manufacture of a platform.
But it may be of interest to some people
For begin cut off the �floor� in the plastic card of 0.50, cut off walls made of plastic card 0.20, and glue them onto one side (make sure of squareness of the wall)

Once dry, fold the "wall" and put glue extra fluid in the junction "wall" - "floor"

Have made the same thing with small edges presents top of the �wall�, it's made in stretched sprue

The result

Now something a little more complicated! Under the platforms, are present two bracket of reinforcements perforated. Here are the materials to realize them

The plastic card is of 0.30
The result

saw the pettiness of parts, must be a� little rigorous� but nothing impossible
Then, a small game of patience, the gluing of gussets and reinforcements

The result ,with the original part


And temporally placer on the chimney


I got rid of this step, and I can move on something else

Wow, I get aggravated just gluing PE parts twice that size... but making it out of styrene card and making it fit so flawlessly at such a small scale... Nicholas, I want to be like you when I grow up!

Hello Folks

Faithful to my rhythm, of small progress on my chimney, I remade entirely the upper platform (I had been mistaken within forms) superstructure was also completely redone.

The platforms projectors are definitely glued and the tubes of the remote control devices are installed at this stage

I starts to added of details (ladders, pipes ...)

A view of the entire block chimney , it starts to take shape

And as I am a lucky man, I had the firsts planks of PE from L�ARSENAL on French catapults to 350 em

And the superb new LOIRE 130 at 35 0em always from L�ARSENAL

I'll put it all out on my Richelieu soon

Wonderful work on that chimney. Definitely going to have to pay attention on how you put things together. Im still working on my first ship so making stuff for them is totally new for me. Cant wait to see more.

As far as I know most catapults of a Navy are standard and so the same at least. Looking for example on all the US Dreadnoughts which survived Washington Treaty and being modernized before WW-2, they have same type of catapult as have the new BB's build after Treaty was out to garbage. The same on other ships of other Navies too, so I suppose it was in French Navy the same situation too...
