Thanks Nicolas!! The pace for these two have slowed to a more realistic speed now that I'm working on the hull's PE details. I plan on finishing one complete hull with PE then move on to the other.

More progress on the WASP only. Fantail area is pretty much done except the boot line around the well deck area.

Thanks guys! Anthony, LHD-6&7 are pretty much the same. As far as I know, it hasn't been release in plastic in any scale. I'm using Hawk Graphics WASP class decal sheet to make the Richard. I'm taking a break from these two just for a bit as to not get burned out on them. I did manage to get the island for the WASP 85% assembled over the weekend.

Mark, not really. The fit of parts is extremely good so it's a fun part of the build. I'm not cutting open windows or adding any more PE than the kit parts . I will, however, build a third WASP class in the future and dress it up like yours.

Still lots more to do on that island. Oh, by the way, I forgot to mention that I used Ryan's sparrow launchers and I couldn't be more pleased with how they look. :thumbs_up_1:

Thanks James I got the decals from Hawk Graphics about a year ago and only started using them last night on the Iwo Jima.I will have to start looking for cheap wasp class carriers so that i can make more of them.I'm hoping to put pictures of my IwoJima on here shortly but i'm a bit embarrased as it is no where near as good as your's or all the other's on here.Regards Anthony

Anthony put those feelings aside and post your work. Besides, I have the power of the King looking over my builds, I can't take credit. :rolf_3:

Dude, great work so far, and I have said it plenty of times, but I still don't know how you manage to work so fast! Very glad those Sparrow Launchers found a good home on there. Keep it up!

IT LOOKS AWESOME!!!!!!
Your Island came out fantastic.
Good call on cutting up the decals. I've been doing that at every opportunity.

Really sharp work. Those flight deck decals are a b*tch!

Well, when I said post your work, I assumed you would start your own thread with your build. Oh well, you probably made my thread a hell of a lot more interesting. :heh: :heh:
