Looks Great Goerge!!!!!!! :thumbs_up_1:

I have always liked the look of the PCE since the first time I saw Jerry O's 1/48 scale build at WMU. Someday if I ever finish my two Fletcher Class DD's I would like to build a PCE in 1/48 scale and RC it as well.

To save weight, I've decided that I can probably replace the platform and base for each of the 40mm mounts, without seriously compromising the fidelity of the details.

Image

8 grams. I may be able to recreate them in milliput and/or styrene. Hopefully can get it down to 4 grams.

Image

The base and platform constitute half the weight of the mount's 16 grams. (excluding pe and a couple detail parts)

Image

The 3" gun only weighs 6 grams.
