The ships of NoreastCon 2013

Post by MartinJQuinn »

I had the chance to run up to Rochester NY the weekend of May 4th, to attend the annual IPMS Region 1 - NoreastCon. I believe this was the 42nd annual show (held in a different locale each year). It was a good show and worth the 10 1/2 round trip drive I did that day.

Here are a few of the ship models that were on the tables. I didn't write down anyone's name and didn't take picture of all the models. I just photographed the one's that interested me.

There's some lovely painting there, especially on that landing ship.

WHAT on earth is with that Bismarck? I could not imagine trying to fix her as a target visually. Wow.

The new Zvezda Sevastopol. Good looking kit. First time I've seen it built up.

The entry form said it was the Lindbergh Tirpirz. Not sure what the building was trying to accomplish. Other than eye strain (just kidding!)

Probably the only way to hide the flaws in that kit...

Wonder collection of ships. I had to take my glasses off. The dazzle camo on the Bismarck was like a strobe flickering on my eyes. :eyes_spinning:
