Hi Sebastien, thank you very much for information.

I have a lot of questions about the Richelieu, and need photos and descriptions about its characteristics in 1943, just after modernization in US. For modeling purposes, and comparing the 2 books, wich one you think is better? I'm not much interested in the operational history of the ship, but I prefer the emphasis on physical characteristics for 1943 or other periods. For example, I'm asking in the CASF thread how many directors mk.51 the ship had just when left New York, US, after refit...........I have no reference for a lot of doubts.

I know quite well the battleship Richelieu. A few years ago I was doing a detailed analysis of the model in 1/350 from Trumpeter.
Personally, there are three books that you must have:
- The book by Robert Dumas for his plans, the explanations of the different versions and the photos.
- The book Mr Sarnet and Mr Le Vaillant: For the photos and the technical information.
The only problem for you is that these two books are in French
- The book by Robert Dumas and Mr Jordan: For the latest information and it is in English.

After that, it depends on which exact version of Richelieu you liked to build and what level of detail you want.
Finally, I suggest you watch the excellent work of Nicolas Dupont aka THE BOSCO.

I too am modelling this ship.
I have a copy of the Robert Dumas book on loan from a friend. Le Cuirasse Richelieu 1935-1968.
Also have the John Jordan and Robert Dumas book. French Battleships 1922-1956.
Another one with some nice clear photos is by Dave Wooley and William Clark. Warships and Warship Modelling.
Will search the other sites listed above. Good thing photos are in universal language.
What stage is your build at. I have just about finished my hull plug and am in the process of painting and assembling my superstructure.
