Right Types of Glues

I currently use Testors orange for my plastic models.

What should I use for Resin parts, and what manufacturers/trade names would anyone recommend?

What about for PE parts?

I've never worked with resin. But for photoetch I use just regular CA glue.

CA for anything that isn't injection molded plastic. All model shops should sell it, but I find standard Loctite SuperGlue to be fine also (the liquid one, not the gel variety they do).

I have had a lot of trouble in the past with super glue, and have heard a lot about PVA glues. What are these and how should I use them?

PVA glues are just white glue, the kind you use for kids' arts and crafts. They do come in different formulae, however, and some are stronger/better suited for our hobby than others.

standard CA (Cyanoacrilate - Super Glue / Krazy Glue) glue works for me with pretty much anything that I need an instant bond on. And I use the orange tube Testors for regular injection molded plastic.

I tend to prefer the super thin Krazy glue. Just don't glue your fingers together
