Thanks. That aft STB sponson still needs a platform added. The Veteran RAM's are pretty good. I gave it a shot of primer to help bring out the details.

I'll be watching this topic closely. Thanks!

I'm not sure you will want to mount the RAM launcher on the box/locker (I don't know the tech term) as seen on the first page of posts. Looks too high. Check out some photos but it appears you don't need to use that part.

Maybe you already know...

Keep it coming,
Jon

You nailed it. I put it on last night just to check things and yes, wayyyy too high with the box/pedestal. Removed, it looks much better. After close examination of the photos of Ray's, I concluded they were NOT mounted on the pedestals. Thanks for the keen eye. I will have regular updates on this build mainly because it has HIGH priority.

I have a few photos from about 3 years ago if you want them of Eisenhower if that time frame is useful. From the water, not on deck/up close, but good quality photos.

Not much of an update. I attached the new fwd port wpns sponson and relocated the aft port side bay forward.

Adding detail to various bays. Reworked the crane platform by making the "wall". Successfully relocated the aft bay on the port side.

Transom area is coming along. More touch up there needed. Started work on the refueling/replenish hook ups in the STB bays.

Looking good brother. One possible critique before you get too far into it: The stern enlarged platform you made, from the pictures it appears that it may be slightly off. Looking at the angle of where the new underside meets the hull, it looks like that part may be slightly higher to the starboard side than port. Then again, it could just be the angle of the picture.

I noticed that too. There is a small divot needing filling on that lower port corner, making it look lower and uneven. Hopefully that will take care of it. :cool_2:

Thanks Major. Added the duct work on the STB AFT. To make the duct, I just used .080 styrene rod and a miter box cutting 45 & 60 degree angles. Sanded the joints down to make them look more rounded. Hope to have the major overhauls on the STB side done today.

Started working on the port side bays, roof panels are done. Also, I spent a year today updating the transom bay. Lots more to do in there. Just a start.

More progress on the transom area. Still a bit more to go on that area.
