More progress on the hangar. Most of the details have been added unless I see something I missed. Decals need to be added to the floor and walls then on to hangar equipment.

Thanks red. Couple more shots before bed. Pay no mind to the vehicles. Those will not be used in this hangar.

Switching gears from the hangar bay, I decided to weather the flight deck a bit. I wanted a flight deck that looked like it was in the latter stages of a deployment.

Nice hangar, and neat weathering!!!

What brand of flat-coat are you using? What are those black tanks in the hangar?

keep it up :thumbs_up_1:

Thanks guys. Laci I use Testors Modelmaster Acrylic flat. And those big black tanks, if I had to guess, are spare bumpers for the boat dock on the transom. (spoken like a non Navy personnel)

James, suddenly do you know, were these tanks on Nimitz at 1975? Maybe, you have some sources?

Looking good dude, very nice, looks like you learned a ton on the Nimitz build.

maksim, if those are indeed extra bumpers for the stern, which I agree, that is what they appear to be, then Nimitz in 1975 would not have had them at all, since she did not have the stern boat dock at that time.

this flight deck looks very realistic boomstick, perhaps i would degrade a little bit more the lines on the landing area.

The hangar bay is amazing. Congratulations

Thanks guys and yes, the flight deck will get dirtier, just a stopping point for now. The first hangar bird is done along with the yellow gear and A/C movers. Trumpeters F-18 just sucks. I would love to open a few canopies but every time I try to cut out the canopy on these crappy-ass clear aircraft they shatter. Would love to hear how some of you have done it?

Beautiful Prowler. Have you tried to vacuform the canopy?. The planes for my Nimitz are a little bit bigger (1/200), but i think it would work at your scale

How about using Tamiya's fuselages? I have to check, but I think I have a whole bunch of them. I got the PE for a few of them as well.
