Japanese CV hangar colors

Post by DaveMM »

I'm sorry if this question has been asked & answered before: I'm building the Tamiya Shinano, and a lot of hangar space is visible. Would the interior be painted the same grey as other hull components, or would they be a lighter colour? If the darker Yokosuka grey was used, I imagine it would be pretty dark and gloomy below deck. Would the walls, or all interiors, be a lighter colour?...

Thanks!

Walls were a white color, I never did find out about what the floors were. I typically paint the floors a Kure grey and the walls a light gray/white. I like the look of ModelMaster Flat Gull Grey.
