Uss england rigging color

Hi, this is my first question but before i want to say the website is brilliant.
My question: Does the uss destroyer have a color for cables, rigging and ropes? I'm ending a trumpeter uss england 1/350 with GMM photoetch.

Black is the most in-scale colour for rigging. Light colours reflect more light, making the rigging appear thicker than they actually are.

But if you don't mind the look, halyards are usually a tan/lighter grey colour.

If you can use a material that's already the desired colour, that would be best. Adding paint on only makes it thicker, which is undesirable, so avoid that method if possible.
