I gather in this unique post advanced work 2 months on a new diorama. I attacked the MULBERRY A port that was installed in front of the beach of Omaha Beach.
I will make two dio:
� The first representative of a dock or ship LST treated like LCM, LCI (L).
� And a second representing a dock (with multiple element "L�bnitz") for unloading cargo and in the background a liberty being unloaded onto barges Rhino.
Attached the test implementation of the various elements and ship photos.
First the Whale gateways served as building blocks for the implementation of the floating road from the docks L�bnitz and beach.
Below is the introduction of two floating docks. Perpendicular to the ship for unloading from the front. Parallel to the dock for ships to unload the cargo on top of the ship.
I started working on the construction LST. Mainly on the back castle.
As you can see from the following three pictures the rear castle and little detail, with bubbles and in addition the top is broken.

From a good doc and a super model as an example, has not stopped me many times to repeat the same elements. As this was the first time for me to make from scratch, I experimented with cardboard, plastic card, etc.. To fall back to the plastic card 0.4mm thick. At least I've redone baths 4-5 times. To see me they were too big to 1.5 mm.

I arrived at the end of most of the work on the LST. I finished the front and bathtubs for directors shooting front and rear 40mm. LS is finished and by the way, I redid the inside of the front doors.
I have not done in perfect accuracy. Purists will certainly find fault. Anyway I did the best possible.
I spent my day trimming the LSM. With a brief inventory of usable parts. The balance is that I do like the LST. Repeat most parts keeping the castle and the two front doors undergoing big changes.

Someone kindly sent photos of the model of the LST exposed at the Naval Museum in Washington me. I took the opportunity to fill in the details on the central part of the LST.
I have a vacuum on the other three ships. The thicknesses of the baths and other elements were in thickness compared to the other two ships and it was too much screaming at the sight. I left the winches, but they will disappear because I'll do it again.
