HMS Barham Camo

Sorry to ask a question that has likely been answered before, but I searched the form and could not find an answer. I think that BARHAM was in a camo pattern of 507b and 507c at time of loss, is that correct? Thanks, Rich

Yes she did.

According to Burt it was a modified Peter Scott scheme of black and white. Roberts also states it was a modified Peter Scott scheme, but doesn't specify colors in British BB of WWII. The white might be right but the darker camo color looks a long way from black, especially if you compare it to the boot stripe. This period of many British ships in the Med is very scantilly covered. A few others that are undocumented are Renown with force H, and when did Warspite go from overall light 507c to the first camo scheme?

Barham's camo colors were 507B and 507C, with steel decks in 507A.
