Box Art

Post by sea mule »

O.K., I admit to liking box art. To the point it is a consideration in my modeling purchases. Once the kit build is done, I'm not for hiding the box away. The art often depicts a significant event or time in the life of a ship. For that reason, I like displaying with or near the ship on a rotating basis with other box arts.

Criteria for this box art display stand was simple. Had to be from stuff lying around the shop. And, just for grins, decided there would be no screws holding it together. Wood glue and dowel rod. I'm no woodworker, but it came out O.K. Not sure if and when it'll get stain.

nice idea... another option is maybe taking that picture on a camera, or even cut it from the box itself.. frame it and hang it on a wall, therefore no damaging can come on it. :thumbs_up_1:
