Kim,
could you please tell me what color are you using for the blue deck? So I have no problem to match it, if I choose blue deck. And is the blue deck just colored wooden deck, so I should get the same (similar) result by spraying teak tone deck?

thank you

Peter

Peter, I find that Vallejo 904 Dark Blue Grey is a very good match for the blue, however due to the planks being so close at this scale, the laser marks for planks makes this even darker. You will have to add some black to it until you get a good match. I'll try postin a photo later. Not sure what Pontos used but it does appear to be a stain.

Here we are Feb 4th already.

Still wondering if Pontos has or will ever have any update on the advanced set for the 200 Missouri. Seems like they fell right off the radar.

I guess the basic set is more than detailed enough for my build but sure would have liked some resin 40mm and 20mm guns.

I, too, was hoping that the announcement was not only made of hot air. But it seems like it. By all respect I have for Pontos - the sets are great in every respect - I can't dimiss the thought that the announcements are made to make the competiotion think twice of starting a project of their own...... Might work in keeping the competition at bay, but is bad for the customers.

Lookin Good, Kim! Looking forward to see what these bofors look like. I am glad that I haven't started working on those yet. Hope the Missouri Advanced set is offered soon, but take your time.

Kim,

Veteran's 40 mm guns, with paint, would be hard to distinguish from the real thing. Wow.

Kim,
Those 40 mm's look great! Are they going to be available from Pontos?
Also, I have another suggestion for the advanced BB-63 set-- how about some etched "wheels" as used on watertight doors, etc. to replace those molded flat on the kit. Also, maybe some photo-etched screens for the molded vents. Like the resin draped firehoses you said you were going to include, these items will really help bring some depth and fine detail to the kit. Also, you might consider offering replacements for other molded-on details such as firehoses nozzles etc. Thanks.

Those quads are unbeliveable! Added to my running list of things I want.

Wheels on the door also are good point, I will try to design.
Vent meshes need to be considered.
Firehoses and firevalves also will be included as resin parts.

And some more Bofors and MK-51 resin parts.

Kim,

Very nice work, indeed.

I've emailed you re. 2 items this past week - any chance you'll respond?

Thanks,

Hank

Kim,
Do you have any idea when Pontos will be releasing the advanced BB-63 set? Thanks.

Kim,
Will the Veteran Quad 40 mounts and Mk. 51 Directors be part of the Pontos Advanced BB-63 set? I am planning on getting the advanced set, but I'm wondering if I need to buy the Veteran sets separately. Thanks.

Having built the twenty quad 40mm mounts, I turn happily back to this forum and see.....OMG! Hmmmm,,,,,, Oh well, at least I haven't started on the 20's yet....

(( Uhhh. Mr. Kim, sir..... is there any chance that the 20s might ALSO be in the advanced set???? I hope, I hope, I hope....??))

Hi Kim,

Having just purchased the basic set, I have to ask if I will be able to buy a set with just the advanced set stuff in it?

I have to say after looking at the set when it arrived a few days ago that the pictures I have seen don't do this set justice. This is an amazing detail set. Many thanks for producing such an awesome kit!

Chris
