Fantastic is an understatement.
I, too, feel a bit demoralized.

I do not want to make you feell bad ...
Seriously -thank you All for your comments...
and here's beta version of main pagoda

It's just preassebled to check decks geometry and evaluate fittiing of multilevel construction on the back. Small bendings and adjustments are required but - looks like it will fit !
I'm happy..

there will be still much more details added

Re: IJN Kirishima 1942 Guadalcanal 1/700 (Fujimi)
I made new etched fret. This is my first attempt to create 3D figures; I designed 3 different legs configurations and 6 bodies; officers and sailors. They can be assembled in vary ways, can be bended, rotated or twisted in order to actual needs.

Those 3 above were done very briefly and not very precisely. Sailor on the tip is full of CA glue and not good assembled. But I believe there is a lot of potential here !
I made also equipment for navigation platforms:

They are small but high time consuming ...

I know how time consuming PE is and I haven't started on anything as elaborate as these yet.
Fantastic work.

I admire your work! Words are hard to find. Your pogoda looks great! I've always thought it the most beautiful part of the IJN warships.

Re: IJN Kirishima 1942 Guadalcanal 1/700 (Fujimi)
Unusual summer heat makes shipyard working very slowly
First attempt to sailors - preliminary painted white:

I'm not quite happy with... need to rearrange and redesign this part of the project ...
lowest platform of main pagoda got linoleum :

black funels tops and wooden platform added. Now just small wheatering and done..

Thanks to Mr. Piotr Czerkasow from Master Company I got very nice bag with beautiful tubes for recoil system

View of complete set (barrels from another supplier - proper ones with exact size and calliber will come to me from Master soon I hope

and open AA gun Shiki 89 Model A-1 ready:

the design of PE kit still needs some adjustments and changes: shell trays, charger platform elevating arc ... next project (IJN Hiei) will get redesigned guns for sure ...
greetings from hot Poland,
Greg
