Lost my anchors

Post by kahuna4646 »

Another lesson learned: don't install anchors until you finish working on the hull. Sometime between placing the plastic anchors in their proper places on the bow and after finishing drilling mounting holes, the anchors disappeared. You'd think they could be located in this small room, but so far no luck.

Anyway, it looks like I'm going to need a pair of USN 1/400 anchors for my Missouri model. Anyone have suggestions? These do not seem to be something I can fabricate myself.

Thanks!

What kit are you building? If it's the old Revell 'Mo you might as well buy another kit for 20 bucks... pretty much the same price as your average aftermarket random parts.

Unfortunately, I'm building a Hapdong 1/400, which is cheap enough, but they only come from Korea, so the shipping is slightly more than the cost of the model. I suppose I might end up doing that, but only as a last resort.

I know that lost anchor, missing 1 out of 4 fire control radar syndrome and it delays a finished ship months or never weres in your lil navy tasks force. 1/350 from freetime /Blue Ridge should work for 1/400 but they might turn up if you look again.

Finally broke down and bought another kit. Helped out with some other parts as well. I'd say halfway through.
