USS Harder (SS-257) 1:350

Post by Perando »

The model is based on AFV Gato class submarine 1943, many details has been added to model according to photo documentation with intent to represent Harder on her fourth war patrol.
Event on diorama represents rescuing of aviator John Galvin off Woleai, Caroline Islands, 1 Apr 1944.
Water is made ??with Vallejo acrylic gel applied to glass, later drybrushed with white.
It is my first ship model. Otherwise I am an aircraft modeler.

Very nice work! I like the arrangement of the subject. Also like how you broke up the water color. I hope you enjoyed your first ship model!

Very nice - a great little story, very well executed.
