My copy arrived recently from Amazon.

A very nice coffee-table book, but of limited use to anyone wishing to model these ships, as it only illustrates one side (port) of the camouflaged ships it features. In many (most?) cases, the sides were differently camouflaged -and I believe that photos of both sides of many of the featured ships do exist...

A missed opportunity in my opinion.

Received this book a couple of weeks ago. Very interesting and very different from most previous publications on this subject. Much broader range of colors and many new twists on previously noted schemes. One question that occured to me as I looked through Mal's book is the use of PB10, dark blue as a camo color. In most other publications the darkest color in camo schemes is MS1 or 507A. PB10 was only used on subs in the med. What is the documentation for this? Thanks Dan

There is all too often, some loss or offset to such implied advantages. A previous poster made reference to single-aspect side views, for example, and this can only be of much use when each depicted vessel was painted in identical patterns, both port and starboard.

Another obvious factor is that of colour replication accuracy. In the past, other publications have suffered from inherent systemic limitations in rendering authentic paint colours with print inks. Have both these issues been appropriately addressed?

If so, I'll likely be purchasing a copy of my own!
