Hello at all!

Completing an painting the twin-turrets of the secondary artillery! Only the devil knows how small the Veteran-aa-quads are!

After a longer break, I want to show you the progress on my Scharnhorst!

The water surface made with acrylic gel is ready!

The light and medium anti-aircraft guns are completed and painted

Right now I am going to complete the forward superstructure with pe-parts from Lionroar, Mk1 and Dragon. For the fire-control optics I have used the excellent resin model of Veteran. The closed Admiral Bridge in 1943 I converted to the open version of 1942 using parts of pe-frames

Hi, great job. May I ask how you did the basket on the cartridge with 20 mm anti-aircraft guns?

The baskets are pe-parts. You will find in the pe-sets from Lionroar, Flyhawk or Mk.1!

Update 15.11.14

The bow section is completely finished! The round top platform above the upper rangefinder I have scratched from styrene and a few pe-parts. For this I had to adjust the holders of the FuMo 27 radar antenna! With the camouflage I'm quite happy even if she is not quite perfect. After a washing with dark gray and black it will looks even better. I attached a photo on which you can see the camo of the Scharnhorst during Op. Cerberus!

Very nice, interesting paint job!

A question about the ship, were the doors to the conning tower armored ones, somewhat similar in design to the Iowa etc. ones?

Cheers. Tom
