Just wondering to see how many modelers are interested in 1/96 scale model of this class.

I am also looking for any additional info or drawings of deck equipment related to the minesweeping gear and sonar winch on the bow section of the ship.

Here are some photos that I took of USS Champion MCM-4 a couple of years ago. There were only 4 of us in my private tour. I was able to go on top of the superstructure and take photos up there instead of the normal general around the main deck tour and quickly off again. Altogether I took about 100 photo and here are 10 of them.

I always like to get a general view of the ship so I know what ship's photos are in the folder.

This is a photo of the winch drums back aft and also the rest of my party on the Champion. The gentleman in the white shirt and navy ball cap is Mr. Lyle Umenhoffer. Lyle is one of the survivors from the sinking of the USS Indianapolis CA-35. I had a great day with him and his grandson.

The 1:96 scale MCM-1 class hull has joined the Scale Shipyard's Task Force-96 fleet. Hull 5 of 6 came out of the mold yesterday and # 6 should be ready on Tuesday and then over the next week hull # 6 & 7. I noticed the the USS Avenger MCM-1 and USS Defender MCM-2 were decommissioned on Oct-1st and sent to the reserve fleet.
I built the 1:48 scale hull for these ships for Naval Research Labs many years ago.
