that mutsu is what if version. if mutsu survived over 1943 she might be anchored at Kure naval port, with nagato.
To avoid US' bombardment, the green-grey camo scheme is used by IJN warships in Kure naval port at 1945

it might be a reflective green in Vallejo acrylic.

I can't remember exactly but pretty sure.

No historical base whatsoever...Mutsu never wore camouflage a day in her life. Interesting scheme, though.

A question for specialist : is the version with serpentine shape funnel of Nagato/Mutsu -before 1930 ?- available at 350 scale ?
If not, is it possible to scratch it (enough visual and technical sources to built it ?).

Unfortunately, there is no pre-modernized version in 1/350 scale. That would be pretty cool, though.

The plans probably exist in Japanese sources; I'm not aware of any that have been published by Western publishers.

The Lion Roar 1/350 1944 set I am told has actually the exact same content as the "generic" Lion Roar Nagato set, this including the radars... I have the "generic" Lion Roar...

I have a 1941 1/350 Nagato box: What major things do I need to do to have a 1943 Nagato vs a 1941? Is there enough in the Lion Roar set to do a 1943-44 Nagato? Note that I have the 1941 Hasegawa wood deck: How big is the difference of a 1941 deck with say an early or late 1943 wood deck?

Is there some plastic parts missing in the 1941 Hasegawa kit that prevents doing a 1943?

Fuso and Yamashiro have nearly identical crane, boom , and sponson layouts, even if their sponsons were located at the stern. Checkout the AOTS volume on Fuso.

This is the only photo I came up with, cropped from an overhead of Mutsu, circa 1940-41. HTH.

I believe it is the same crane as the ones that folds into a well in the flight deck on shakaku.
