Great work on the mast!
But, you apply rigging before painting?
Cheers,
Marijn

Thanks Jose!
Marijn - yes. I will rigg locally then paint. Then make signals lamps and coloured details and then attach longitudal rigging on the end of build.
Cheers

I don't have any rigging schematics for her, or any of the sisters. The Miyukikai plan sets usually shows them.

If you don't have it Dan that means propably does not exist ...Dan K wrote:I don't have any rigging schematics for her, or any of the sisters. The Miyukikai plan sets usually shows them.

Re: IJN Kirishima 1942 Guadalcanal 1/700 (Fujimi)
Standing rigging done. Now painting, signal lamps and running rigging....
Since I could not manage to find any good reference for that part of building I decided to base on standard standing rigging from IJN heavy vessels. I hope I did not make major mistakes here...

I left a small space and external ends of sailings for future antennas and longitudinal rigging fixation.

Awesome work blacman! Truly!
Where did you get the rope coils if I may ask? I have never seen them before.
Great thread, really enjoying watching your work.
Best regards, Tim

Thank you fellows..
... railings. Something I do not like
casemates causing some challenges to make railing. Standard railing pattern does not fit to the distance between. Either I had to bend without stake - which does not look nice or cut and join railing - which looks even worse

I'm not quite happy with. But decided to leave as it is....
It's my own design. Made from PE set.ComfortablyNumb wrote:...Where did you get the rope coils if I may ask? I have never seen them before...

Yeah, those railing matchups are a pain. Otherwise, FANTASTIQUE!!!!!!!!
