UK source for 1/72 or 1/96 Photo etch handwheels

Post by cosbymai »

Can someone give me the details of a source for PE handwheels in 1/72 or 1/96 scale in the uk? I'm in need of various handwheels for gun mountings, torpedo tubes etc.

Thanks

Thanks to you both for the help. I've taken Akula's advice as the postage is half the price as that from scalelink.com.

Spoke to Gordon on Sunday, he said he still had some left. :heh: :heh:
Simple but effective.

Model railway parts suppliers are another good source of PE handwheels. I have quite a few sets in various sizes, from N to O gauge.

I know that this is an old thread but after the same type of 4 spoke hand wheels for my build in 1/72.
Most of what I can find online is 5 or 8 spoke modern which are not suitable for WW2.

Can't find the Aber ones online so assuming they are discontinued.
Have a heap of IJN Type 96 25mm twin/Triple gun mounts, Torpedo tubes etc to build and have come to a halt as not sure how to proceed without the wheels/knowledge of how to fit the applicable wheels to my moulds.

Hoping someone can point me in a direction that can get me underway again.

Thanks in advance

Can you cut four of the spokes from an 8-spoke handwheel?

The 8 spoke ones I found were curved spokes and I need straight so unfortunately no this time.
