Swedish Orion A201 pic39.jpg

In 1985 the Swedish intelligence gathering ship Orion was in collision with a Soviet Sonya class minesweeper.
A long shot, I know, but does anyone have any drawings of this unusual ship, no matter how basic?

While I am about it, I am also interested in drawings of the Russian Balzan (or Lira) class intelligence ships. I have made some drawings based on photogaphs, but cannot be 100% sure I have got it right

Thanks

Don

Try checking old Jane's Fighting Ships if you can. They used to have drawings of almost every single Soviet ship in them. Might get lucky on the Swedish ship.

In one Weyer I found a profile of Orion, but no deck view.

In Combat Fleets unfortunately only a photo is included.

Also a first search using Swedish words ("HMS Orion signalspaningsfartyg") did not include any plan, but some photos.

It is really a strange looking ship:

Of the Russian Balzam class I found a drawing of Bjelomorje including profile and deck view in one of the Weyer.

This is Belomorye which I saw at Murmansk in 2013 and the reason why I asked for the information.

Very many thanks Peppe and Maxim. With the aid of the information you have supplied and photos I have collected, the Balzam class looks like a distinct possibility for a scratch build in 1/700.
