Resin type

Hello all,

In my research of my upcoming build I note that Mike Ashley's "Building and Detailing Scale Model Ships" book recommends use of "resin" to add a resin base inside the hull to support mounting hardware for a display base. However he never mentions what type of "resin" to use. I did a search on the forum to no avail.

Are we talking an epoxy resin or polyester resin? Or is this referring to the polyurethane resin that kits come in?
