Re: *Inj. molded plastic* Upcoming Ship Kit Releases
For the 1/700 Trumpeter 1941 California looking at the painting on the Trumpeter site, it appears they have made the changes for the differences between the Tennessee and California for the forward superstructure. Can not tell if the 01 gun deck is different shape since they are different between the two ships also. That is assuming the box art reflects what is in the box. I think we can assume it will be correct for California since for the early Big 5 Trumpeter seems to be following the Pitroad resin kits.

It says Showcase on the poster, so that's the manufacture it is being marketed under, regardless of whether Trumpeter is doing the molding.

Freedom Model's Aquitaine now up on Hobby Search for November release:

EDIT: as of today 10/7 Aquitaine is showing as #1 (pre) seller on Hobby Search.
Lots of interest in this ship, it seems.

I have had that catalogue page attached at the bottom of the first post since it was released months ago.
But no, no more info than what's on that page.

Is that gonna be their new thing, an entire class boxed set?
Yes, these kits are waterlined.

Are they going to be ten identical kits?Dan K wrote:Is that gonna be their new thing, an entire class boxed set?
Yes, these kits are waterlined.
Or will each one be configured as the actual ships (as some ships have slightly different bridge, superstructure, and deck details or configurations).
And, the same is true of all other ships.
But I can't think of a better thing for a company to do than to have "class" kits, where the kit contains all of the ships in a given class.
They should start with the Early Treaty Cruisers for both sides, as they began WWII.

No details as of yet. Given that Fujimi has produced both bridge versions, it seems reasonable to assume that both types will be included. Not everyone wants to build an entire class, though.

I hear Ritalin is good for that... At least I have found it to be good for that.
I suppose some ship classes might be a bit difficult to complete (Like the Fletcher-class DDs), but I would still like to be able to buy a kit that contained the whole class. Or, in my case, the class members who fought in the Pacific War.
It doesn't mean you have to build them all at once... But it would certainly make it less expensive to get them all.

At last HMS Aurora, 1945 at 1:700 scale by Flyhawk has been announced for next month:

Given the high standard of their preceding HMS Naiad this should be very tempting.

It took some time, but the kit appears to be worth to wait for it!

Re: *Inj. molded plastic* Upcoming Ship Kit Releases
I hope that we get some IJN and IJA 1/700 Aircraft soon. Pit-Road seems to have pulled the Early-War aircraft sets. Hopefully they or Trumpeter will release some Early-War IJN/IJA Aircraft (beyond just the Zero, Val, and Kate).
It would be nice to see some Jills, Graces, Judies, Georges, Nicks, or Oscars.
