hi all

thanks Sirpaul, Andy and Nicolas for looking and kind comments, I'm glad you like it

Andy, I used the door for tests with different colors, in the anechoic tiles, rust color to see how it looks, I was trying to represent one of the tiles fall, we'll see ..... like you said are rubber, but the photos also appear in a different color even with traces of rust, dirt and slimy grime.

regards

hi,

Continue with this sea monster, the airbrushing work completed and some of the weathering process, still has some work to brush and terminate it

Honestly I had my doubts about how this would turn out from the first few pics but it's certainly wow-worthy now. Excellent work!!! :thumbs_up_1:

Looking good, Jam! I would tone down the chess board a bit, but other then that - looks very good!

hi all

thanks for looking and comment Channell, Andy and Nicolas.

Andy, the brown color in parts of the anechoic tiles convinces me, this :submarine: is quite large, i have tried to give some tonal variety, to not let the painting very uniform. is a matter of taste.

some pictures closest chessboard,, with some effects of weathering.

Muy buen trabajo!
Ive finished my Hobby Boss Victor III, Now Im into a simultaneous build of an Alfa and BRMs Gudgeon Tang.
I cant believe all that detail on your Oscar is in 1/350, a really amazing Job!.
How did you get the rubber tiling effect?

Excellent work! Love the detailed torpedo tube. What kind of photo etch did you use for the flood vents cover?

thanks for your comments mates

ha ha, Nicolas, thanks for the comparison, think of let it grow mustache :heh:

Patricio, the rubber tiling effect is the same as explained in the link of Kilo class.

Is a generic PE grid.

some small advances in the Kursk, by now in dry dock

At the risk of drawing ire for dredging up a 3 year old post, on my own first post...however, I just recently came across this build and it is the best I've seen. In my own work I've attempted to create the tonal variations created by anechoic tiling on various SSN in various navies, but I've never seen it as successfully done as here. So, while I see the question poised above already (I've been unable to find the "Kilo link" going through this posting a couple of times, perhaps I'm blind), how was this effect achieved? Perhaps screen laid down? Dark coat first, and then screen down and lighter coat? I'm curious, and now I'm wanting to redo my previous efforts because of this!

Thanks! So mosquito netting it is then? Anyone else tried this? How do you keep the mosquito netting in place while you paint?
