Thanks Timmy. I had no idea they had done that and having looked at the real thing, the kit looks a bit off anyway!

I think Flyhawk are going to make me broke! I'm building HMS Aurora at the moment and very nice it is too! Now Nurnberg and the K class! I echo the question about when we can expect to see these new kits and their previously announced RN kits!

Also, is their any more info on the Snowman kits, such was what fit the ships are in and when we can expect them and their potential quality? I need to know, so I can organise a stash reduction to pay for them!

thanks

Don't hold your breath, they won't come out in a flurry, more like a slow squeeze. The recent flux of news is more related to new marketing hire than anything else - those projects were in the pipelines for ages (read 5+ years) depending on the subject and collaborator.

Snowman model's first release was DDG-1000 resin collaboration with BBB. Future plans are just plans currently, CVL CAD will be based on the 1/350 Dragon one scaled down and simplified. Cleveland is just 'purchased plan' stage...very early days.

Link also shows some cool resin stuff. PLAN ships, Soviet supply ship, and what looks like HMS Queen Elizabeth CV.
HOW did I miss this?

Cleveland and Brooklyn-classes

That will mean some slight conversion work to make the other ships in the classes (Brooklyns in 1942, Clevelands in 1943/44), but that is better than having to conjure them from nothing (or Resin).

Why should it be easier to convert e.g. a plastic Brooklyn in a 1944 fit into a 1942 fit instead of using the 1941/1942 kits of the Brookyln class by Corsair Armada and Niko Models!? Especially compared to the latter, Boise 1942 kit?

Not sure if this has been posted yet, at least not since September last year.

For 1/700 Yahagi / Sakawa fans http://www.fujimimokei.com/item/items/4968728431345

For 1/700 Agano / Noshiro fans http://www.fujimimokei.com/item/items/4968728431321

Not sure which quarter of 2016 these (I'm sure) fine kits would be released. Its about time the dated Tamiya version is replaced.
I like sniffing plastic........ and the instruction sheet.

They've already been released. Yahagi/Sakawa in November 2015, and Agano/Noshiro back in August. That's why they're no longer on the list.

I just wish that a freaking PE set would be released for them, and then I would buy all four.

These are my favorite IJN ships (with the 5,500 Ton CLs as seconds).

They really were losers of ships though. Most of the IJN CLs were, as they were not really any good for Surface Warfare of the time, and neither were they any good as AA Warfare platforms.

But I think their lines are just beautiful.

The IBG Hunt Class have been released:

https://www.modelhobbies.co.uk/shop/170 ... 58740.html

https://www.modelhobbies.co.uk/shop/170 ... 58739.html

I know they will be small but less than a tenner is a pretty good price.

Follow up on the HMS M1 in 1/350 by Micro Mir

Micro Mir of Ukraine has announced the March 2016 release of kit AVSAVM9325, a British M-class Submarine in 1/350 scale.

This should be followed by M2 and M3 at later dates

While looking thru the Hannet's web store I noticed that they had a 1/700 Koenig by ICM listed. Is this new or a similar situation to the Master box listing of Jutland ships that haven't happened

Not Queen Elizabeth class (wrong shape and ski-jump is wrong too), maybe the new PLAN aircraft carrier which is being built?
Good to see new companies producing ship kits!
