Perhaps you should update the list on the first page for this Academy 1/700 Dokdo, its seems to be quite common already on Ebay, with listings as cheap as less than 30 CAD for the full hull version!

Looked pretty sharp!

Isn't this the second IJN base in 1/3000?

They also released Yokosuka with a Yamato and Shokaku. If the pattern holds, I would expect to see Kure.

Why do people ALWAYS have to produce Late-War versions of these ships.

That means I am going to be spending even more time making Early-War conversion kits for these ships.

I have finally been able to start doing real work on the USS South Dakota for the Early-war (I am starting with Oct/Nov 1942, but the parts I am making will not be created such that conversion to the earlier, July - September outfit impossible (before the AA outfit was upgraded with a set of six Quad 40mms).

The goal is to produce a series of splinter-shields for 20mm Oerlikons and Quad/Dual 40mms that can be used on any ship. But which can be swapped out on the USN Fast-Battleships (North Carolina, South Dakota, and Iowa-classes).

But making a set of conversion parts for the Cruisers is also on the drawing board (vents, Splinter-shields, and Masts) that are 3D printed, and easier to work with than PE. 3D Modelparts' printing method allows for printing parts that are roughly .012" thick, which is about 2x the thickness of PE parts. I could live with that for many parts. I wish that I could figure out a way to 3D Print ladders.

I feel you there. I prefer building pre/early war ships and it's hard to do. It'sa great time to be a ship model builder, I just wish there was more available for the early war period
