Saw this mentioned in the Airfix modeling magazine this weekend.

This kit most likely is rebox from Dragon's kit.
King George V, Prince of Wales Only have Tamiya's or Matchbox's Duke of York.

Full hull I've been told. Thinking of all the different variants you can do with kit, it will be staggering.
Looks like a very good kit. Aftermarket guys should have fun with this.
Unusual that it is a 1918 version.

HMS Wadsworth, ORP Krakowiak; plus reissues of the first two.
I have those two; as said on another thread they are well-made kits which appear to scale and basically accurate, according to what I have to check against (Lenton & Colledge).

Looks like there is an 1/700 IJN Kii coming from Fujimi as part of the 'NEXT' line. Says its a 'Type Battle Ship Yamato' though... ? Wish there was a picture:

Good question, and since the release was supposed to be on 15th Feb, we should soon know for sure.
It states that there are some new moldings, perhaps this is the same as the previous Phantom kit, but on the other hand, perhaps the heavy AA armament is different. IIRC, the Phantom kit still used the same 127mm DP as the Yamato.

The new one is under the "Kan Next" series, third of the line. Like the Kan Next Yamato and Musashi, it'll come molded in colour to make painting optional for the less discerning modeler.

Yes it does, but the box art shows the 3.9 in as found on the Akizuki's and Taiho.

The existing Phantom/SuperYam kits come with a different heavy AA mounting with angled plates instead of the rounded ones. You can see it in the Hobby Search instructions and on the new sprue for the 20" guns.
