Glueing the halves of a hull

Hi guys
I am trying to decide what would work best to glue together the halves of my Revell Bismarck hull. Would it be fine to just use Tamiya cement (the thicker orange cap type), followed by copious amounts of the Extra Thin to fuse it together even more? I plan to also pour some kind of filler into the hull to give it weight and can also cement strips of styrene to further strengthen it.

I'm not sure what Tamiya glue you are referring to and what its properties are, but for this purpose and the best possible joint, use a thicker type of plastic model cement that will give you time to work and not evaporate.

Apply the cement to both hull halves, wait a brief amount of time so that the plastic softens and then push the pieces together assuring that liquid plastic and cement oozes out of the entire joint. Clamp the hull and wait until dry. When dry, cut the dried cement and plastic "ooze" from the joint and file/sand. You should then have no need of putty/filler.

That's about the best way to do it. It's also good for aircraft fuselages. Never try CA, unless it's a resin model.
