Fujimi Yamato 1/500
This is not a review so much but a quick heads up regarding the barbettes/main turrets/main guns of this kit .They are way too undersized so much so it is too easy to spot even with the naked eye.Anatomy of the book measurements indicate at least 2mm shorter and also somewhat thicker barrels in the kit ,(metal barrels provided have the same problem too ) around 1.5 mm smaller diameter for main barbettes, and main turrets are around 2-3 mm shorter and narrower.Just so it happens to have the Hasegawa 1/450 new tool Yamato as well , i can tell you that Hasegawas kit is spot on on these measurements and even though Fujimi kit has some nicer overall feel, the Hasegawa kit for its price and its overall higher accuracy (at least in these parts) its a winner for me so far, not to mention you can compliment it with the Pontos set .

If I am seeing things right, Hasegawa is around half the price than Fujimi.

I have to say, the Hasegawa offering seems quite tempting.
