1/200 yamato, rc conversion

Post by herbieham »

Just a couple of pictures. Whilst building my 1/72 Yamato, I used a 1/200 nichimano as a rough guide

I finished her while waiting for Kirishima hull, (and a decision on a small ship build))..

Here she is alongside her bigger sister

These Yamato kits and, well, anything large enough for today's components just scream for R/C conversion. My mantra for ship models seems to have morphed into the phrase, "what are you going to do with it when you're done?" It's a seems a small shame that the vast majority of completed models just sit...

I wouldn't mind seeing some in-water photos and some whilst underway if you can juggle the transmitter and camera skillfully.
