Hello everybody,
after several years spent watching this site, I decided to take a more active part. I'm French (nobody's perfect), 56, industrial designer (MBD Design for those interested in trains and military stuff industrial design, including warships and submarines for the French Navy), born and living in Paris and Normandy (one mile from Omaha Beach). English-born members please forgive my approximate writing.
I'm building model warships since childhood, fairly big scales, and I like to mix reality with my own vision of things (I'm an industrial designer by trade, remember !).
As an example, this (of course) fantasy cruiser blends modernity with what makes (to my eyes) the charm of olde-worlde warships...
Many other ships in progress alongside : 1/24 Perkasa, other "fantasies", and I just started my life-long ambition of a 1/72 Rodney (that has been bombing things German very close from my Normandy house actually).
I'm thinking about starting a post on that latest one as I thoroughly enjoy related inputs and advices from other members.
All the best to all of you !
