The casting does look very rough, nice way to persevere. Good looking ships, I sold my WSW copy and traded up for the big Combrig VU in 1/350. Definitely a "must build" ship for battleship fans (IMO).

Excellent build. I seriously considered buying this kit until I had a Combrig 1/350 offered to me.

Be glad you didn't buy it! Ha! The way that hull is cast, it's almost impossible to sand flat. Even gluing down flat wouldn't have worked. Think of it like a piece of curly pasta.

Thank you.
I can't believe, the set of things can be so beautiful.
As the maker of this model, I know It has many drawbacks.
Thank you,To this end consuming time and effort.
This is my first product,at that time I intend to use ABS board to do a Viribus Unitis, because I also like the ship.
When completing the hull, My friend said to me: "Why not try to casting it?"
Therefore, strictly speaking, this is not a model product. It's just a hand made improvisation.
Recently we have recreated the Viribus Unitis, which should be better than previous product.

Glad to see you've redone VU, I'd be interested in building her again, so please send me a private message so we can discuss purchasing a kit. Thanks.

@speedbird, the build looks superb! Very nicely done! :thumbs_up_1: :thumbs_up_1:

@sssr123 your new kits look amazing! I am so interested in that Pr 66!! The parts were cast from 3D printed, right? Is it Shapeways?

Thank you for your kind words.

I'd love to build the new kit to compare to the old one. This time I'd like to build VU in her wartime appearance.
