Doesn't Iron Shipwrights/ISW produce resin versions of the Big 5 and the New Mexicos? If money's not an issue for a 1/350 "WeeVee", perhaps you try Iron Shipwrights.
Oh I know they produce them..I'm just not eager to blow $300 on a kit and the issues that come with resin.

Definitely looks like the Revell kit - this pic clearly shows the thick plastic railing on the forecastle and "1/720" on the poster. Although, this placard states 1/700.
Aoshima seem to want to stop Flyhawk from succeeding - first copying the Hermes, and now the Illustrious.
The problem is that they have had their abominations of Illustrious and Victorious out for decades and never bothered to make them better.
From the initial looks, it seems possible that both Flyhawk and Aoshima will both be doing an early version (no flightdeck ends changes) - what a wasted opportunity.
As said - Indomitable would have been a good alternative to the duplication.

The built sample is the Revell kit. But, the placard does state 1/700, presumably for a kit in development that wasn't ready in time for the show. It would seem that this is a very early announcement of a new-tool 1/700 version, as the Kan-Colle Graf Zeppelin girl figure is a separate item. So, I say again, Giggity.
Aoshima seems to be doing the lesser-known WW2 carriers now, so it fits their direction. A new Illustrious is welcome, too, if that is a new-tool kit.
1) I'm starting to regret buying/building the Samek 1914 Kongo. In fact the way things are going it might be worth avoiding expensive resin kits of major WWI classes until we know what else is coming. No offense meant to those manufacturers, but if these subjects are creeping into mainstream plastic it's a game changer.
2) A good 1/700 Illustrious at last! it's plastic so my wallet isn't groaning... My shelf space on the other hand... Uh oh!
Rumors on Chinese boards suggests that Kajika is a body double of Flyhawk. Doing IJN subjects is still a touchy problem in China for established companies. If this is true the new Kongo kit with Flyhawk quality will be something to behold.

Is it confirmed that this is a plastic kit? I couldn't see from the blurry photo posted of Kajika's announcement.
I've actually got a Joe World 1914 Kongo that I started work on but let sit in the stash many years ago. A Great War-era Kongo up to the standards of the Flyhawk Imperial German battlecruisers and dreadnoughts would be incredible.
If they are going to do other WWI-era IJN subjects the Fuso as commissioned in 1915 would be another great choice. The Fuso was a pretty slick, powerful-looking ship before the 1920's and 1930's turned her into a awkward-looking thing.
