Wonderfull work as always Jim! :thumbs_up_1: :thumbs_up_1: :thumbs_up_1:
Glad to see you back at it, as it is a pleasure to follow every little step.

At this level of finesse, every little detail takes a lot of time, so I think your progress is quite good.
But I know how it is to have your modelling time cut back by the 'needs' of another hobby! The past year hasn't been my most productive either…

Cheers,

Marijn

Phew!!

after a busy summer with work, family and classic cars ...
I have finally managed to complete my HMS Magnificent model...

I have shot some photos for the gallery and am composing a concise build report.

It was quite a marathon building this ship-
perhaps especially as the vessel is quite small--and there were lot of retrogressive steps
to allow for rather lot of details to be researched, scratch-built and then include on her!

herewith a few taster images

Best wishes

JIM B ==> clearing bench and choosing next subject! :thumbs_up_1: :cool_2: :cool_2:

Excellent work, as always. Love all the details you worked into her. That is a busy looking boat deck.

Thank you gentlemen!

in retrospect it does look quite pretty

-- I think I was too close to it for too long !

....==> and as such fell out of love with it !

the love is now being rekindled! :thumbs_up_1:

I have cleared the bench and am starting something fresh... :cool_2:

news soon!

Best wishes

I don't know how, and I don't know the ceiling, but you keep just getting better. Not only do you define what 700 scale modeling SHOULD look like, but you push your own limits and do something more eye-popping and more inspirational.

I think it's fair to say that I love following your builds.
