I actually don't know!

I remember ordering it from WEM a couple of years ago, it's a bit elastic monofilament on a unmarked reel so I have no clue who made it.
On the signal flag yardams it was nice as you could glue it with CA to one point then loop it through, tighten and glue the other end.
On the PE the CA glued it almost instantly. I remember trying it out and didn't like it as it didn't seem to react well with CA, though the surface was painted at the time when I did the initial test.
Have to see how it works out in the future or I'll go back to streched sprue.

Not 100% sure what you meant, but I painted them with just adding a dark gray filter/wash. Tamiya provides stickers for them, but I felt they were terrible all around.

One question: I understand very well how rigging the tower separately is easier than after gluing it to the hull. But why not paint the tower before rigging?

The bridge windows seems to have glass in them, which looks great. Did you do that with Kristal Clear?

Like I said from previous experience I had trouble getting the rigging material to react well with CA when the surface was painted. On bare PE the CA glued it in an instant making it easier.
Also the flag riggins are not black but light gray or whitish, so airbrushing them at the same time made it easier aswell as painting them with a brush tends to join them together as they are so closely spaced.

Also kristal clear was used on the windows!

I think the rigging you have may be "EZ line"? It's an american product i believe? I have fine and heavy, measuring approximately 0.15mm and 0.25mm respectively.The beauty of this stuff is that it remains "stretchy" so won't come off if it's touched. It will never sag if fitted with a little tension and gets thinner the more it's stretched.

There's not much to it to be honest.

For portholes you just dip a brush into the glue then dap it onto the porthole. I use a fairly fine brush for it and get a good chunk of glue into the brush. For bigger windows you do the same but you paint the frame first with the glue and if not enough glue take some more to fill the middle. Then just wait for it to dry. If you make a mess just dip the brush into a bit of water and clean the mess.
