Nice to see Snowman is still kicking around. Hope the Gearing and Montana are in plastic!

Some nice photos of the Trumpeter and Very Fire Graf Zeppelins.

I agree with Timmy. Note the Cleveland class cruiser from Snowman too. It's been mentioned but this is the first tangible sign of it I, for one, have seen.

Amongst the images from the model show is one showing a box for a 1/350 Graf Zeppelin with 'Two in one 1943-19(the rest is cut off in the photo) on it. The box image seems to be the ship as originally launched before the adding of the Atlantic bow etc.

I cannot see the manufacturing company's name anywhere on the box but at the top RH corner there appears to be the logo/symbol for the Very Fire Technology Co Ltd. It has been impossible to find out anything about this company but they do seem to be releasing a lot of PE/Detail up sets (Merits 1/350 HMS Ark Royal springs to mind). Could this be a detail up set for the soon to be released Trumpeter kit?

It is apparently their own kit - see earlier post by Hanchang: viewtopic.php?f=2&t=37762&p=707414&hili ... re#p707414

There's also a kit-sized box posted in the newer thread.

Keep hoping to hear about new 1/350 releases, but they do seem to be slim these days. Still hoping for news on Merit's Alaska class. They said they were gonna do three and they would be intsa-buys for me. These new non-trumpeter companies give me a little bit of hope....

Atma:

Would you know where the OceanMoon kits can be obtained? The pictures show a 1/700 Fletcher, RN O class destroyer, and Dido class cruiser.

Are they available by mail order from somewhere in China?

Kindly advise.

Thanks!

Oceanmoon has a store on the Chinese equivalent of eBay, TaoBao: https://shop59966464.world.taobao.com/c ... 3%D0%CD#bd

Note that the Fletcher is resin in 1/2000 scale, and the same applies for the O (page 5) and Dido (page 3).

Alternatively, I work with them, and start to sell their kits from Germany, with a few test examples on my table/store shelf, and a larger batch incoming (and anything else orderable)
Model kit manufacturer and distributor: https://b2b.modellbaudienst.de
Distributor of Very Fire, Snowman, Milania Master Korabel, Falkonet, Microdisign in EU
1:350 HMS Diana 1794 - nearly released
Further kits in preparation.

I just placed an order for some Ocean Moon stuff over at TaoBao, if you want to order off of TB, I recommend getting an agent. Makes life FAR easier. If anyone needs help with this, I can walk you through it. It's a bit involved so serious folks only please. Glad to help!

Oh! Except for nearly ALL the aircraft carriers, cruisers, destroyers, submarines and escorts !

(let alone auxiliaries, coastal craft, landing craft - and merchant ships).

Looking forward to it! I hope HB and Trumpeter will go back a little further in time and do a Victoria and Late 19th century Renown.

A bit off topic but I think you better off just using a freight forwarder instead. How these agent service works is they charge a fee for placing an order (and in the background, they also haggle with the seller for cheaper price/free shipping etc, but that's behind your back and you don't get any benefits other than sometimes more delays due to the negotiation), charges you for the shipping/items of course the fee, and when the package arrives, in the name of 'inspection' repackages your item and charges you again for the shipping + another service fee of the repackaged item (extra weight). Basically you lose any benefits that seller might offer you (free domestic shipping, consolidation etc) if you use an agent.

Easier to just skip the first step, create a Taobao account (which now also supports credit card payments) and buy directly then ship to the forwarder address to be consolidated.

Any ideas where we might be able to buy this Cleveland?

No idea yet. We don't know the scope and scale of this manufacturer - will they stick to the Oceanmoon model of primarily Taobao, or will they be more like Flyhawk and work more on finding worldwide distributors?

I was happy with my service. Much easier to do the transaction in English and PayPal that trying to translate taobao constantly. I'll pay a little extra and deal with the consequences for a couple ship models.
