carrier lighting

Greetings,
Any suggestions on 1/350 hangar deck lighting? I used bulbs before but will switch to a better system if available. Anyone use fiber optics? Thanks...

Fiber optics don't light areas very well, only lighting a bright pinpoint at the end of the fiber without "throwing" the light very far.
Maybe L.E.D.s? different voltages and sizes are available at any electronics store (Radio Shack) and come in several colors and will light your project for about ten years of continuous light before burning out.

I agree, these are no good for Hangar Lighting, but are ideal for flight deck landing lights.

I shall be using fibre optics for the flightdeck of my 1/96 scale H.M.S. Victorious, courtesy of an old Christmas Tree found in a skip.

Now, granted, it's for Sci-Fi stuff but I think you can replicate it for what we do.
