Iowa Class 3D Model(WIP)

Post by Eilelwen »

well this is just a start. updates will be slow but they will come.

Right now all I have done are the turrets and started the layout of the super structure and the main deck. Going to finish the turrets and the main deck and the Hull before moving on to the super structure. Main reason for that is the fact that I can't find pics of the super structure that dosn't have all the extras (guns railings and what not). so it will take me longer to block out. Also Guns 2 and 3 are missing there AA mounts which I will add soon.

But here are the pictures.

WOWZERS!

Awesome job! I cant wait to see more of it! So detailed! I think this is even better than the Philly build that Tracy showed us!

I'm working in maya, so its not so much a CAD software as an art program, so sizes may be off, all depends on how good my refereance is. today I hope to finish the turrets completly so I don't have to go back to them. then move on to the detailing the deck.

ok update worked on the area infront of the turret. just a few more things to add to
it and it will be the first area I consider complete. also the railing/ladders on the
turret are going to be changed to represent the new railing done on the housing.
after this it will be the AA mounts on the turrets then they will be done.
