Thats good news indeed !SovereignHobbies wrote:I've given the VeryFire guys a shout with a link to this page of the thread. The searchlight can be as simple as a particular piece of the 3D model not selected for the render.
UPDATE: the "missing" searchlight is indeed in the kit.

I've moved some of the discussion about the Very Fire Iowa details to the Iowa class thread in CASF. Please continue your discussion there. Leave this thread for updates on new releases.

An oddity from Fujimi in 1/700th:
http://www.1999.co.jp/eng/10527156
Hyuga, mid 1942, after #5 turrent had been destroyed by an accidental explosion and replaced with a platform for 25mm AA mounts.
Never knew this piece of Hyuga's history; I may need to get one of these.

Hasegawa had similar option as well. Interestingly, both Hasegawa and Fujimi show 4 triple mounts while the combines fleet TOR stays that there were tree triples mounted.Quaestor wrote:An oddity from Fujimi in 1/700th:

I looked long and hard for the light at the end of the tunnel,
I can now say that there isn't one.

no complaints from me either, my trumpeter kits are great, Nimitz & Connie along with Tamiya Enterprise look awesome together. A few years ago who would have dreamed a 1/350 Alaska, Guam (ok Hobby boss but still) Ranger, cv-1 pending,1/350 CV-7 (Please please please) then we can go from cv-1 right through to all the cv-9's onwards, I have quite a few.

First pictures of Flyhawks Bismarck in 1/700
http://www.moxdao.com/thread-50390-1-1.html
It seems like an odd position to place the model (on a windowsill high up on a multistory building). It makes me wonder how big companies lite Flyhawk are?
"Yeah guys, is it OK if I borrow our new test mold Bismarck, I am going to place it on the windowsill up on the 15th floor?
"Sure no problem."

Re: *Inj. molded plastic* Upcoming Ship Kit Releases
.
A British retailer commissioned an 00 model steam loco from a Chinese company. When it released photos of the test shots the model was obviously being produced in an empty floor of a multi-storey office block.
Huge numbers of buildings put up in China over the last 20-odd years, no doubt many are not being used for their "obvious" use.
Plastic kit manufacture won't be that difficult to do in a standard framed building as long as floor loadings are checked. No exposed flame, limited areas of heating and small quantities of flammable liquids.

burtus05 : Good observation. You should work for CIA. By the way, do you know where Kajika is headquartered? They seem to make Japanese ships, which the Chinese usually avoid?
