Thanks, Mardis! Really looking forward to your build!

In other news, and for those that enjoy a wingy-thing, especially the exciting new Revell 1/32 scale aircraft models, I am very happy to announce hollow, 3D-printed Merlin engine exhausts, optimized to fit the new-tool Revell P-51D-5 kit, are now available. They can be adapted for other 1/32 scale Merlin-powered Mustang kits.

Happy to announce that over the next week or so, 3D-printed superstructure and funnel models are being released to help convert your USS Arizona BB-39 kit to sistership USS Pennsylvania BB-38 as the ship appeared from June, 1945 (the ship's final wartime appearance). Thanks to all who have been patiently waiting for these models!

The models are available in several popular scales.

Hi, Steve. Do you have plans to offer the 1945 Pennsilvania parts in1/200 to fit trumpeter's Arizona kit?

These look great, Steve. While a '45 Pennsy isn't on my radar at the moment, I hope the modelers who were clamoring for these support you and buy them. Hopefully we will see some WIP builds in the Picture Post forum soon!

Just got my island today. The detail is crazy on this thing. I guess I will have to do equal work on the hull, Thanks Steve! :thumbs_up_1: :thumbs_up_1: :thumbs_up_1: :thumbs_up_1:

Got the hull for Indy. Order the Floating Drydock Ranger plans. Start this in the fall. I'll be pissed if Trumpy comes out with one.

01 Level: http://shpws.me/Qax4
Aft Fire Control Tower: http://shpws.me/QaGa
Set of Mk.34 fire control director with Mk.13 antenna, and two Mk.37 fire control directors: http://shpws.me/Qa3F

I will begin redesigning these components as well as the forward superstructure for 1/700 scale shortly. The funnel is already available in 1/700 scale: http://shpws.me/Q3XT

Those parts look fantastic. I'd definitely buy a 1/200 conversion for my 1/200 Arizona if you ever make this one for the 1/200 Trumpeter kit.

Great idea and an absolutely fantastic job you did Steve!!!
IMO a plastic 1/350 late war Pennsy will take several years to be produced and with this amazing 3D parts now that ship is no longer a dream or a very demanding scratch building project. Just need to save some $$ or wait till Shapeways gives any offer

Ill be ordering the Pennsy parts shortly, any chance on a late war New Mexico superstructure? I kitbashed a 1/350 Banner hull years ago, my motivation stopped there.

Hi Mark,

I think so. Should be out soon. There are some 1/700 scale printing requirement challenges with that design that are being stubborn. I am trying to be more cantankerous than the problems are stubborn. Sometimes re-scaling can be high adventure.

Cool!

I want to get that island to use in an eventual Indy but if I have one, I will examine it and determine if it is also accurate for the Ranger from that time period. Based on your 3D renderings on the site, it is pretty dang close if not spot on. I think that Ranger and Indy were pretty close until the mid 70's with the exception of Indy losing the forward sponsons. Saratoga and Forrestal seemed to wonder off of the same path early in the 60's and Forrestal for sure after the fire in 1967.

I will be looking forward to it!

Thanks,

Mark
