Awesome that dry docks are being released, for sure an underutilised market here. There is so many that are needed imho.

I got news from Trumpeter/ Hobby Boss page of the upcoming release of the new Chinese aircraft carrier CV 17 aka "Shan Dong" in 1/700 scale. No release date given or if it's waterline only or full-hull option. Given their recent releases I'm assuming it's waterline only.

You can tell that Flyhawk is not a Japanese company, as it doesn't include the dive bombers which destroyed her.

Your assessment is not completely correct. None japanese Tirpitz has bombers.

By the way, would be interesting a Flyhawk Tirpitz with Lancaster and Tallboy bomb.

HMS Exeter was given the same announcement at the end of June and has only just started getting to UK so perhaps a 5 month wait for Cornwall?

They need to do Nagato or Prinz Eugen with and atomic bomb then.
My CO prior to flying to the boomer: Our goals on this patrol is to shoot missiles and torpedoes.
Me: Capt don’t we really want to be like Monty Python and not be seen?
LT you seem to be missing the big picture

Hmmmmm. I wonder how difficult it will be to convert to a HMAS Australia and/or HMAS Canberra?

I think Kent will be much easier so I hope this second kit is released soon. The hanger really messes up the aft superstructure but it does make a Suffolk easier as long as you have a Dremel to cut down the quarterdeck. Just having a County will be great after all these years and being able to convert one to our flagship would be very satisfying indeed. We will just have to see how the Cornwall kit looks when it released to see the conversation possibilities. Heres hoping

Both versions of Koenigsberg are now up for pre-order at Hobby Search too. If you want to pay 50(or 100) bucks for a light cruiser in 1/700. Hobby Easy prices are rather better IMO.

My experience is that prices will also be rather better from eBay sellers in China. Even more so if you can wait a while :heh:

Hoping they follow those up with 700th versions like they did with Bismarck!
