A nice Regia Marina ship in 1/350 scale RM Littorio, IMHO I like this more than the previous RM Roma.
Wonder where are the Rodnols and the Baltimores??

I can bet this models will be done by Hobby Boss instead of Trumpeter, like the past years Trumpeter showed the Dunkerque and finally Hobby Boss produced it.

Still can't believe it ,a new Bismarck and Tirpitz..... what a waist, we need the Big 5's in 1/350, also Vanguard,Renown, Revenge and some Hot american/soviet cruisers from the Cold war era.

This reminds me a little of my other life; 1/72nd aircraft.
There's never a shortage of new Bf/Me 109 kits in every permutation imaginable. Fair enough, I suppose they sell and that's what it's all about for the manufacturers. (Plus re-releasing an existing kit with new decal choices and pretending it's new; but I digress.)
But there's still a crying need for so many ships that have never been done in polystyrene. Much more so than in aircraft in my scale.
So we get more Scharnhorsts and Bismarcks and Yamatos and whatever.
Great credit to Flyhawk for their Konigsberg and others in the offing (while they do a Bismarck too).
Still waiting for Brooklyns, major auxiliaries like sub and destroyer tenders, etc., etc. (with a nod to Pit Road for some fine auxiliaries, mostly IJN).

A properly made Vanguard would be nice. Here is to world of warships living in longer and being popular, so that they manufacturers see sense in producing more kits.

Whose is the other Scharnhorst...Flyhawk's 1/700?? Quality-wise, it could be a toss-up between Snowman and Flyhawk! (Although my money's on Flyhawk. But, then again, price will be a major factor, too!)

An early war Brooklyn class, or Town class cruiser would be far more intriguing than another Scharnhorst IMHO! But, to each their own. I have plenty of kits/scratchbuilds to keep myself busy for a long, long, time!

Trumpeter Belfast is already a Town Class ,in that case a Colony or Leander perhaps and the Brooklyn sounds good

Belfast and Edinburgh are in fact the Edinburgh sub-class of the Town class, both were built to a modified, longer and heavier design so in fact we don't have a Town class as designed and built for the first five ships (Southampton sub-class). The next three were again to a modified design (Gloucester sub-class) then came the last two Belfast and Edinburgh.

However I do agree that we could do with a Crown Colony and Leander class.

I noticed the new Trumpeter catalog has a couple new additions to the 1:200 aircraft list: a Jake and a Pete. Sounds like an IJN heavy cruiser or battleship is in the works! (best bet, given existing selections in their 1:200 series: Yamato)
I see 1:700 is mostly neglected again for new release announcements on the catalog pages; but Trumpeter has shown a tendency to release new 1:700 subjects with little prior notification so I wouldn't consider it anything to sweat about.
And I see the longest running gag in the Trumpeter catalog continues: They still have the 1:32 TBD Devastator listed as a new release. I think we're past the 15 year mark on that one...

Even tho Snowman and Flyhawk put out very good kits and I certainly will get the new projected kits that HAVE NOT been produced before such as the Ajax or Agincourt Or Bayern I will NOT buy a new Scharnhorst/Yamato/Iowa etcetera. If you want some of my money kit a Northampton class, early Town class, Glorious/Courageous etcetera in 1/700. If I run out of things to build I'd get something like the 1/350 C Class cruiser, or the Viribus Unitas trumpy says they are going to produce rather than a different version of a kit I already have

Well, how many different Scharnhorst's are there anyway? All I can think of is the fairly ancient Tamiya. Not entirely terrible, but does need some corrections, and detail additions. A new, improved, Scharnhorst/Gneisenau would be in order, and I would certainly get, at least, the Flyhawk one when available to replace my Tamiya one. I replaced my Dragon Bismarck with the Flyhawk release, and I am certainly not sorry!
