HMS Queen of Thanet and Mal Wright

Is the camouflage scheme shown by Mal Wright for HMS Queen of Thanet in 1943, of AP507C, MS3 and 1940 Stone a complete fantasy/concoction? Where on earth is the evidence for this? The various images on the Internet, including those from a private collection, seem only to show an overall grey scheme - admittedly only up to 1942. I'm not sure what to believe in this book (Destroyers, Frigates etc.....).
