Hi Guys!
What a fantastic day out we all had, despite the bad weather and Dave's pictures have captured the event reall well.
I will now put up what pictures I, took and maybe not as good as Dave's as my battery ran out before Dave came on the scene, with his WW1 Destroyer.
I was highly honoured to be made an official member of this elite group of modeler's today and I can now visit all the two monthly seminars.
As a beginer to scratchbuilding, I feel priveledged to be welcomed by this group of highly skilled modeller's.
Here are two pictures of the Interior State Rooms on board a model of the Royal Yacht Brittania. This model has to be seen to be believed. Everything on board has been modelled in the finest detail.
This will also be a sailing model when completed. Unbeleivable!
To be part of this group, with modelers of this quality is a great honour.
Those pictures just show the Royal Suite, with the kitchens, and stewards accomodation. Each deck level has been made removable and the decks above have all the bridge details and other compartments, modelled in the finest details
Below the deck shown, space has been provided to model all the crews quarter's and engine room and boiler rooms, which have yet to be done.
Below this the actuall running motors and radio control will be installed.
So far it has taken the builder two years to reach this stage.
You can appreciate the skills what this group of highly skilled modeller's turn out. and this is just one model of many other's that in their own right are truly remarkable models.
Enjoy

Victorious
